In the wake of today’s tragedy, we are still hopeful that “all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to His purpose”.

We have a tremendous opportunity to be a blessing to our neighbors, and so we will mobilizing a volunteer relief effort at City Church (13123 I-10 Service Road) for anyone who is willing and able to offer a helping hand in our local community.

We will meet in the front of the church (address above) at 10:00 am in the morning to organize and dispatch teams into the surrounding area to clean up and gut houses. Please bring cleaning tools such as crowbars, shovels, work gloves etc. if you have them. If not, we will try to provide you with some.

If you know anyone that has been affected by tornado damage and is in need of food, we will have a food truck arriving at 11:00am to provide free meals to those in need.

Here are five ways you can help:

  • Volunteer on a clean up crew;
  • Volunteer to serve food on our church grounds or deliver to those in need;
  • Please DONATE TO OUR EFFORT: drop off goods to the church office to be distributed such as water, non-perishable food items, toiletries, flashlights, batteries, baby wipes, simple first aid items (bandaids, peroxide, ointment, Advil etc.)
  • Give financially to those in need;
  • Pray for our community to bounce back quickly and stronger than ever.

This relief effort will be ongoing until otherwise noted. Relief efforts will continue Thursday, Friday & Saturday at the same time (10:00 am).

Please share this message with as many people as you can. Especially those who have been directly affected by the storm.
